Drivetime Apps:
Storyboards related to time spent in the car
A storyboard is a rapid idea generation tool that presents a scenario that takes a hypothetical user from problem or need to satisfaction through design and empathy.
Storyboards frame a fictional use case and narrates what the user is intending to do. To keep the narrative focused, it does not specifically dive into user interface.
This sprint was focused on creating 3 ideas in transportation from two different perspectives. Some of these ideas were based on interview research that I performed earlier. The recording is available on SoundCloud.
Project contributions:
research
needs finding and generative ideas
hand drawing and sketching
defining 3 design ideas from 2 personas
safe: CARPATH scores route options based on safety and traffic statistics.
This mobile app awards the user with digital trophies when the driver beats their own score or improves on the score of the predicted route. The CARPATH stories show us how a newer driver gains confidence using this app and how Mom can review and check in on her driver.
satisfied: SIDE TRIP is a mobile app that was designed to see drive-thru lines in real time
See drive-thru lines in real time so you can take a side trip to get your favorite beverage, treat, or meal without waiting. The SIDE TRIP stories follow a hungry weekend warrior on a schedule and a little sister that loves ice cream. The ice cream story is inspired by research interviews.
